Bi Wire Speaker Wiring
How to bi wire check for the correct terminals because not every speaker can be bi wired.
Bi wire speaker wiring. Bi wiring is a means of connecting a loudspeaker to an audio amplifier primarily used in hi fi systems. Some higher performance amplifiers even have two sets of speaker connections to make it easier to connect things up. Bi wiring is a way of connecting your speakers to your amp using two pairs of connecting wires rather than one. Normally only one cable connects the speaker to the amplifier.
If you ve been using your speakers normally single wire you might have noticed the little. Some speakers come with two pairs of binding posts. One pair for the high frequencies and the other pair for the low frequencies. Normally there is one pair of connectors on a loudspeaker and a single cable two conductors runs from the amplifier output to the terminals at the loudspeaker housing.
Bi wiring is a way of connecting a speaker to an audio amplifier. A speaker must have separate terminals two. In a usual set up one pair of wires carries the full range musical signal from the amplifier to each of the loudspeakers as shown in the below diagram. In bi wiring each loudspeaker uses two cables one for the tweeter and one for the bass in the speaker which are then connected to the same amplifier.
Connect the wires by plugging in each.
