Wiring Diagram Relay 85 And 86 Use
Numbers of a relay.
Wiring diagram relay 85 and 86 use. Terminal 30 from 12v ignition switch ign position. If the coil is not activated 30 will always be connected to 87a. 85 and 86 are the coil pins while 30 87 and 87a are the contact pins. Terminal 87 to terminal 86 and relay 2 terminal 86.
That is kind of cryptic isn t it. Terminal 86 from relay 1 terminal 86. This supply also feeds the other side of the momentary switch. 30 and 87 create the switch to your lights.
4 pin relays use 2 pins 85 86 to control the coil and 2 pins 30 87 which switch power on a single circuit. This diagram shows an active spdt relay with power applied to pins 85 and 86. Terminal 86 from one side of momentary switch. This circuit diagram of an inactive spdt relay with no power applied to pins 85 and 86 ground and 12 volt positive.
Pin 30 common and pin 87a normally closed are connected. Note that each pin is numbered. Terminal 85 connect to a suitable earthing point on the vehicle chassis. The left side is the pin out of the point is sticking out from at the bottom and the the right side is showing a schematic representation of the relay circuitry.
